Routes

A route is a day, a vehicle and a driver with an ordered list of stops. The vehicle is the fleet's; the driver is the fleet's current assignment of an employee who has a user account — the phone screen has to reach somebody.

Building a route

New route takes a day, a zone, a vehicle and a driver. With a zone, the zone's open shipments of that day become the stops, one stop per address (two parcels to one door are one stop), ordered by postal code and street; the shipments move to planned. Without a zone the route starts empty and takes shipments by their numbers. A shipment sits on one active route at a time.

The route page draws the stops on the map, lets the dispatcher move them up and down (the drawn path follows), add and remove shipments, and mark the route loading.

Starting, driving, finishing

Start moves every shipment on the route to out for delivery — the customers' tracking pages and mails say so. From then on outcomes are recorded per stop: delivered (to whom), failed (why, from the firm's own list of reasons), picked up, skipped. An outcome moves the stop's shipments accordingly; the driver's phone and the dispatcher's page record through the same door, and a retried request records once.

Finish refuses while a stop has no outcome — unless the dispatcher confirms. Cancel frees the shipments of a route that never left.

The driver's screen

Under Deliveries → My routes in the app a driver sees their own routes of the day: the stops in order with the address, a call button, a navigation link, the parcels, and the outcome form. Nobody else's routes ever appear there.

Without signal an outcome waits in the phone's own queue, shows as done, and goes out when the connection is back (or on Send now); every outcome carries a client stamp, so a replay records once. Proof of delivery: a photo from the camera and a signature drawn with a finger land on the stop (the firm's Transport shelf in Files); the route page in the office shows them beside the outcome.

The dispatch board

Transport → Dispatch board is the day's shipments by status — a kanban over the shipments view, filtered by delivery day (today by default) and zone. Flags (unzoned, unresolved, price on request) show on the cards; the board is a shipped view, so a firm may add a column, a filter or a colour and keep it.
